- Gear drive cams require a 4-gear set to install (S&S DS-199532 or Andrews DS-199538)
- For easy and accurate installation we recommend using S&S installation kit DS-199235; kit contains cam cover gasket, two inner cam needle bearings, two outer cam ball bearings, one HHC 5/16”-18 x 3/4” screw and one retaining ring
- For 99-06 Twin Cam models (except 06 Dyna Glide)
290-2 GEAR DRIVE – HOT STREET PERFORMANCE- Great mid-range and upper end power
- Works great with stock to 95 cu. in. kits
- Provides optimum power with 9.5:1 compression ratio and modified heads
- Must use Crane valve springs set up for .570” lift, performance air cleaner and exhaust
- Power range from 1800 to 5800 rpm
296-2 GEAR DRIVE – HOT STREET PERFORMANCE, MODIFIED- For modified engines with 10.25:1 compression ratio, big bore kits and head modifications
- Must use with Crane valve springs for .700” lift, performance air cleaner and exhaust
- Power range is 2000 to 6000 rpm
304-2 GEAR DRIVE – MAX HOT STREET- For modified engines, 10.5:1+ compression ratio with ported heads
- Must use Crane springs with a minimum of .600” lift
- Requires low-restriction air cleaner and exhaust
- Power range is 2000 to 6200 rpm
310-2 GEAR DRIVE – MODERATE STREET, CRUISING- Bolt-in camshaft; good low-end and mid-range power
- Great for Dynas, Softails and single riders
- Works best with performance air cleaner and exhaust, compression ratios from stock to 9.5:1; stock valve springs okay
- Power range from 1500 to 5500 rpm
316-2 GEAR DRIVE – STREET PERFORMANCE- Bolt-in camshaft; 10:1 compression ratio recommended
- Works best with performance air cleaner and exhaust; stock valve springs okay
- Power range from 1800 to 5800 rpm
